Implant-Supported Dentures
The dentists at Newport Family Dental Care of Newport, TN, have undergone additional training in order to provide top-of-the line dental implants. These titanium devices are replacement tooth roots that literally anchor your denture to your jawbone, eliminating the risk of instability and slipping out of place. Furthermore, dental implants stimulate the tissue in the jawbone, preventing the bone recession that often occurs with long-term tooth loss. For the right candidates, implant-supported dentures are the ultimate long-term solution, providing patients maximum stability and dental function.

Mini Dental Implants Alternative Support For Dentures
Mini dental implants are a less invasive alternative to traditional dental implants, consisting of small toothpick sized posts. These smaller implants can be placed with just local anesthesia and do not require sutures or extensive recovery periods. In fact, our dentists can place your implant-supported restoration immediately, on the same day as the procedure. While mini dental implants are not for everyone, they can be a great option for patients unable to undergo invasive surgery or who cannot support standard sized implants due to bone loss.

Full Dentures
Patients who are missing all of their teeth or need to replace all remaining teeth due to trauma or decay will benefit from a set of complete dentures. Full dentures (also known as complete dentures) consist of an entire arch of prosthetic teeth set in an acrylic base designed to look like your gums. Our dentists can immediately place a set of temporary dentures after performing extractions due to our 3-D printing technology. While your gums heal, we work on your custom fitting permanent restoration, crafted to fit the exact specifications of your smile and look virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Partial Dentures
Partial dentures, also known as partials, are a great option for patients who still have healthy teeth that don't need replacing. The partial denture secures to the natural teeth with clasps and a metal framework giving the prosthetic additional support and stability. The restoration fits among your existing teeth and is designed to match the size, shape, color, and overall aesthetics. We offer fixed partial dentures that are cemented into your dental arch and stay in place, and removable partial dentures that you can take out your mouth to clean and while you sleep.

What Can I Expect to Pay?
We pride ourselves on charging a fair value for all of our restorative services and strive to make treatment as affordable as possible. Traditional dentures can run anywhere between $1,000 to $3,000, depending on the individual factors of your treatment. Implant-supported denture treatment is more expensive, not necessarily due to the restorations, but because of the implants themselves. Implants cost about $2,000 to $4,000 per unit.
We do accept dental insurance and will be happy to work directly with your provider to secure you the maximum amount in coverage. While implants are typically not insured, restorations both traditional and implant-supported usually have some amount of coverage. You can finance remaining out-of-pocket expenses through CareCredit® or Quality Dental Plan, allowing you to make little-to-no-interest monthly payments on treatment.
What Is the Best Value? Long-Term Treatment Considerations
It is important to think about the long-term before deciding on your treatment and type of denture. While removable restorations are lower in cost at face value, dental implants are a great investment that can pay off in the long run. By preventing oral health conditions such as gum recession and bone atrophy, implants can save you from expensive restorative procedures in the future. Furthermore, implant-supported dentures tend to last longer than their removable counterparts and will need fewer replacements over the course of a lifetime.
